“As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light of meaning in the darkness of mere being.” — Carl Jung
Greetings dear readers and friends! I have been busier than ever, putting the finishing touches on some new changes for the website and re-launching my e-commerce shop (along with a full time job as an engineer, going to school and practicing my writing).
When I first created my blog, it came from my deep desire to develop a place where we could all share a variety of experiences and learn from one another; where we could find encouragement and inspiration to help us achieve our wildest dreams.
In addition to the blog, I have recently begun working on an e-commerce shop that I started many years ago as a hobby. I developed a good customer base but decided to put it on hold abruptly in 2011 when my mother passed away. Though I kept the site online to date, I disabled the ssl/shopping cart, so customers could no longer buy. Now after blogging these past few months, it has helped me to regain my voice and reopened the door to my creative spirit once more. I am ready to get back into it again, so I am in the process of re-designing /rebuilding the website and integrating it on a new platform. It is up and running now https://sunplum.com so feel free to check it out and sign-up for our newsletter.
I first began my blog CommonSenseGal in June of 2015 and being a part of this amazing community over the last few months has inspired me to streamline my efforts in order to bring everything and everyone together. I want us to continue on this path together, encouraging one another to find our voices and tap into our creative juices so that they flow freely.
I think of both the blog and the e-shop as different sides of the same coin so both will be found under the new name Inspired Beacon. Even though you may find yourself like me, on a different path than you originally started out on, the important part is that you are still traveling. You’re still moving forward. I am so grateful to each and every one of you who have taken the time to join me on this journey: to browse my site, read my blog writing, offer comments and yes, sometimes even join me in fierce debate! It is my hope that together we can continue to be an Inspired Beacon: for ourselves, for one another and for the world.
