I personally believe the Man was a type of Prophet. His lyrics are outstanding and insightful. Here is one of my favorite Bob Marley songs ~~ Bob Marley – Get Up Stand Up

Yes…I agree many people all over the world feel the same way too. For his words were so deep and prophetic. It’s like he could see things beyond his realm. He definitely was a man before his time. As well as, a man that was timeless in his wisdom, introspection and songs. For as you can see people from every culture and background and all age groups are able to relate to him.
He was just that kind of character man that though enigmatic, he was relatable and as a result could reach the deepest thread of anyone and show you things, while elevating your level of consciousness. For me that is what a prophet means to me and that is what he does best 🙂 .
For All Soldiers of African descent who have served this country yet not recognized or acknowledged. Get Up! Stand Up! All Warriors of Color ~~ African and Native American!!!

What a classic! I’m not particularly well-versed in reggae, being more of a hard rock lover, but I absolutely love Bob Marley! I always find myself smiling and singing along whenever I hear his songs, and I can’t help but appreciate the message in his more political numbers. A talented man who gave the world some brilliant, important music.
AJ, I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for stopping by and sharing 🙂
Would love to hear some of your hard rock favs, so I would appreciate if you submitted some that you think other patrons at The Sky Lounge could broaden their horizon with 🙂 We are all here to learn from each other. So let it rock on 🙂 .
Fantastic, I certainly will! 🙂 I’ll have a think and get back to you about that. Would you prefer me to mention it to you in a comment or should I contact you via email?
You can mention it in the comment, if you are submitting the video. However, if would like to discuss something first before adding the videos, you can email me on the contact page. Following that, I will send you my direct email, for future direct contact for sideline discussions. As I dont like putting my email explicity on the blog, as spam bots usually check sites and sweep up emails and then you realize you start getting a ton of additional spam. In addition to the ones you are already getting…LOL 🙂
Ok, thank you for clearing that up. Fair enough, spam is bloody annoying! I’ll have a ponder and I’ll get back to you soon ☺
You are welcome 🙂
AJ had a quick question to ask you…usually when I send stuff out from The Sky Lounge, I preface it with: From the Sky Lounge: Song NameX. Would it work better with just: The Sky Lounge: Song NameX and remove the “From” ? Or does the From in front gives it a nice ring to it? I am planning to ask B.G. and others too the same question, to get more than one opinion 🙂 However, I would appreciate your feedback 🙂
I think prefacing the post with “from the Sky Lounge” sounds better as it’s less formal. To my mind it comes across as a bit more friendly ☺
[…] here. So DeBorah aka thedancingpalmtrees was hanging out here the other night when we were playing Could You Be Loved by Bob Marley and she loved it 🙂 ! As a result she was moved to share one of her favorite songs by him which I […]
