The Thinkers Are Dead

The thinkers
Are dead you say
Respectfully I disagree
I am a thinker myself
And there are many more
Like you
Like me

But we all think uniquely
Some of us alike
Filtered by
A cloak of differences
That defines
Our vantage point
As thinkers do

Some are
Wild wild things
Deep steep capers
Fastidious debaters
Others are
Light runners
In the clouds
Earth travelers of Introspect
Of Intuition emblazoned with
A deliberate ribbon of Intention

Together or apart
We ponder rude awakenings
The every day life
Escape many a brainwashing
Half-truths
Intolerable of downright nonsense
Examine the facts
For what they are
No time to waste on
Reinventing the wheel
Pretending the King
Is fully clothed
When indeed
He is quite naked

Never afraid
To question the bamboozle
Of the Anointed One
Never too blind
Or too far gone
To question
Even ourselves
As thinkers
We are not beyond reproach
For we keep an open mind
While making the world
Extraordinary.
