You Matter In The Big Scheme Of Things

Life hurtles on at a dizzying pace
Whether you rise or shine
You struggle…
To hold on
To put on a good face
And you ask yourself
Does your life really matter?

In the big scheme of things
Your life may seem inconsequential
A small dark speck
Of light
In the Cosmos
Tiny breaths
Equal your survival
But what have you done
To make the world
Go ’round
Continue to spin
On its Axis?

You have lived
Innumerable steps
You have fallen
Harder than an acorn
You have shared
With the Listener
And the One that have covered their ears
You have cultivated
Seeds on barren ground
That dried up and came to naught
Seeds on fertile soil
That fed hungry minds
And thirsty souls.

You have loved
The unloved
And the worthwhile
You have challenged uncertainty
Fumbled with Fear
Bristled with audacity
In the face of the Unknown
You have lost
And thrived
Close to the sun
Or you may have done
Nothing else but just be
Isn’t that enough?

Anything
Everything
And Nothing
All makes the World go ’round
So you indeed matter
And the world would be lost
Without you.
